I’m interested in Phonology and Psycholinguistics, and particularly questions relating to the perception and production of tones.
My DPhil research will focus on the interaction between tone and intonation in Guanzhong Mandarin (a sub-dialect of Mandarin) under the Autosegmental-Metrical theoretic framework.
I have recently completed an MPhil in the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics at Oxford and before that, a BA at the City University in Hong Kong.
My MPhil thesis looked at tonal assimilation and dissimilation in Guanzhong Mandarin.
