One of our Postdoctoral Researchers (Sandra) has just got back form presenting our geminate research at the VI. Dubrovnik Conference on Cognitive Science which focused on Language and Cognitive Development this year.
Her paper was a summary of the Bengali behavioural and EEG experiments on the processing and representation of duration contrasts. She found it an interesting audience to present to because there were a lot of developmental psychologists who didn't know much about linguistics, but also a fair number of linguists/phonologists. A very well organised conference in a beautiful location!
